All public holidays in Poland in 2027
Poland has 14 statutory days off work. In 2027, 8 of them fall on a weekday, 2 on a Saturday and 4 on a Sunday. Christmas Eve has been a day off since 2025.
Holidays on a Saturday and a Sunday in 2027
Labour Day (1 May) and Christmas Day (25 December) fall on a Saturday in 2027. A holiday on any day other than Sunday reduces working time by 8 hours, so the employer has to give employees another day off for each of them.
Easter Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, the Assumption (15 August) and the Second Day of Christmas fall on a Sunday. These don't give an extra day off.
Long weekends in Poland in 2027
Five holidays give you a long weekend without leave, and two Thursday holidays turn into 4 days off with one day of leave.
