Digital QR Codes
Employees use variable QR codes generated directly in their Calamari mobile app. These codes refresh automatically and cannot be screenshotted, shared, or transferred between employees, ensuring maximum security and preventing unauthorized access. The dynamic nature of these codes makes buddy punching virtually impossible.
Printed QR Codes
Traditional printed badges with permanent QR codes that can be distributed to employees. While these provide convenience for teams without smartphones, they require additional security measures like photo capture to prevent sharing between employees.
NFC Tags & Cards
Administrators can easily program NFC tags/cards through the Calamari mobile app by selecting an employee and tapping the new card. Multiple cards can be assigned to one person, cards can be transferred between employees, and administrators can check assignments or remove cards as needed.
NFC cards provide instant authentication and are difficult to duplicate, making them highly secure against buddy punching attempts.
As an administrator, you can enable or disable the NFC method directly from your web account globally. You can also see who has an NFC card or tag assigned, unassign them and easily filter users and cards at any time.
