No. Both calculators run entirely in your browser: entitlement figures, employment dates and everything else you type stay on your own machine and are never sent to us. Leave Laws is reading material, so there is nothing to enter there in the first place.

Yes. They do arithmetic on dates, and dates behave the same everywhere. What differs between countries is which proration method and which rounding direction your law or your policy prescribes — that is a choice you make in the tool, not something the tool decides for you. Leave Laws is the country-specific part of this section, and it currently covers Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

No. The guides summarise statutory minimums and the calculators do arithmetic; neither one interprets your specific case. Contracts, collective agreements and internal policies routinely grant more than the legal minimum, and some countries prescribe how entitlement has to be credited rather than just how much of it there is. Use these tools to get the numbers straight, then confirm anything consequential with whoever owns employment compliance in your organisation.

Each tool answers one question, once, for one employee.
