Quiet quitting
Doing only the basic duties required by the contract, without any extra engagement.
Quiet quitting is the attitude of rejecting "hustle culture" and performing only the tasks that fall within the scope of duties defined in the employment contract. The employee does not take on extra initiative, does not get involved in projects beyond their remit, and strictly observes working hours.
It is not an actual resignation, but rather a mental withdrawal from the idea that work should be at the center of one's life.
It is a response to burnout and a lack of work-life balance. For companies, it is an important signal that current methods of motivating employees may be insufficient, and that caring for their well-being and their sense of purpose at work is becoming critical.
