The Challenge: Scattered Communication and No Central System
The main challenge was having no single source of truth for employee time off, with leave requests scattered across multiple communication channels. Before implementation, processes were disorganized – people would simply forget someone was out on leave.
After rolling out unlimited PTO in January 2022, it became clear within a month that they needed a tool to streamline leave requests. The company also wanted to track how much time off employees were actually taking to see if their new policy was working.
