When employees clock in/out, the system captures a photo that's stored on Calamari servers, allowing managers to perform random verification checks to prevent buddy punching. Employees can also assign their time to specific projects or mark breaks directly from the kiosk. All time data can be exported to your payroll system for accurate wage calculations.

Can I set up a time clock kiosk in multiple locations?

Absolutely! You can deploy KIOSK Calamari across unlimited locations with centralized management. Each KIOSK operates independently but syncs to your Company Calamari account, giving you real-time visibility across all sites while allowing location-specific settings and reports.

Do I need any special hardware to set up a time clock kiosk?

No proprietary hardware required—any standard tablet or smartphone (iOS or Android) can become a time clock terminal. If you want employees to use access cards or NFC tags, these can be purchased separately and easily programmed through the Calamari admin mobile app.

Simply select the employee in the app and tap the new card to it. Multiple cards can be assigned to one person, cards can be transferred between employees, and administrators can easily check assignments or remove cards as needed.

Is there a free time clock kiosk app?

Yes! While KIOSK terminals provide a centralized option, employees can also use the Calamari mobile app on their personal devices for remote or on-the-go time tracking. When using the mobile app, the system records location coordinates for verification instead of photos. The optional geofencing feature ensures clock-ins only happen within approved areas.

Important note: Calamari does NOT track employees' locations continuously—managers only see the location at the moment of clock-in/out, not throughout the workday.
