This option is designed for companies operating with fixed schedules, e.g., 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It automatically adjusts employee clock-ins and clock-outs to match the established schedule, eliminating minute-level discrepancies and ensuring labor law compliance.
How it works?
Configure grace periods (e.g., 15 minutes before/after scheduled time) and lateness tolerance for early departure (e.g., 5 minutes). The system automatically rounds time entries if they fall within these ranges.

Set rules:
Work schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Grace period: 15 min,
Lateness tolerance: 5 min
How it works?
Clock-in at 8:58 AM → rounds to 9:00 AM (within grace period)
Clock-in at 9:03 AM → rounds to 9:00 AM (within tolerance)
Clock-in at 9:20 AM → remains 9:20 AM (beyond tolerance, system records tardiness)

Set rules:
Increment: 15 min
Round down within first 7 minutes
Round up within last 8 minutes
How it works?
Clock-in at 8:52 AM → rounds to 9:00 AM
Clock-in at 9:07 AM → rounds to 9:00 AM (within 7-minute rule)
Clock-in at 9:08 AM → rounds to 9:15 AM
Clock-out at 5:12 PM → rounds to 5:15 PM
Rounding to Time Increments
Perfect solution for companies without rigid schedules or where payroll is calculated in specific time blocks (e.g., every 5, 10, or 15 minutes). Round time entries to the nearest increment to simplify payroll and ensure transparency.
How it works?
Set the rounding increment (e.g., 5, 10, or 15 minutes) and rounding direction for clock-ins and clock-outs (up, down, or nearest). Additionally, you can set grace periods to provide flexibility before rounding kicks in.

Both rounding methods can work independently or together, depending on your needs. Calamari's system prioritizes schedule-based rounding first, then applies increment-based rounding.
